2023 Chevrolet Tahoe Towing Capacity

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of taking control of a massive machine, and you’ll definitely get that feeling when driving the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. It’s a large, full-size SUV with plenty of power and room to spare, making it the perfect choice for large families or anyone who needs to handle substantial loads.
But just how much can the Tahoe tow? What kind of performance specs does it have? What’s new for 2023? In this blog post, we’ll answer all these questions and more so that you can make an informed decision about whether the Tahoe is the right SUV for you.
Drivetrain And Performance
In 2023, the Tahoe will offer three different engine options: a 5.3L V-8, a 6.2L V-8, and a 3.0L I-6 Turbo-Diesel. The 2023 Tahoe comes standard with the first engine option, the smaller of the three, which churns out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the more powerful option, the 6.2L V-8, produces an impressive 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, while the Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine offers 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The inline six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine provides good acceleration without sacrificing fuel economy because of its unique combo of high compression and excellent fuel injection systems. Even better, the choice of a 6.2L V-8 with Dynamic Fuel Management is the cherry on top for the all-new 2023 Tahoe. This system helps fuel economy by constantly monitoring and adjusting the engine’s cylinders to match power demand.
All these engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and either a rear-wheel-drive system or a traction-enhancing four-wheel drive that’s perfect for when the roads are less than ideal. So, no matter which engine you choose, you can rest assured that you’ll have plenty of power at your disposal.
Towing And Payload Capacity
A behemoth SUV like the Tahoe is bound to have impressive towing and payload capacities, and luckily, Chevrolet doesn’t disappoint. When equipped with the NHT Max Trailering Package and rear-wheel drive, the 5.3L V-8 gasoline engine Tahoe boasts an impressive towing capacity of up to 8,400 pounds. Conversely, the lowest towing capacity you’ll get with the Tahoe is 7,600 pounds, which is offered with the 6.0L V-8 engine equipped with all-wheel drive and without the Max Trailering Package. This is still quite good, considering its size and weight.
The 3.0L I-6 Turbo-Diesel engine option offers a decent towing capacity of up to 8,200 pounds when equipped with the Max Trailering Package and rear-wheel drive. Payload capacity for the Tahoe maxes out at around 1,834 pounds, which is again quite good considering the SUV’s size. This number will be lower for Tahoes equipped with four-wheel drive and higher for those with rear-wheel drive, so keep that in mind when deciding which model is suitable for you.
Towing accessories are also essential, and luckily, the 2023 Tahoe comes standard with a few key ones. These include Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, which uses sensors to help you line up the Tahoe with your trailer, and Trailer Sway Control, which uses brakes and reduced engine power to keep your trailer from swaying back and forth while you’re driving.
If you opt for the Max Trailering Package, you’ll also get an upgraded cooling system and an integrated trailer brake controller that makes it easier to stop when you’re hauling a heavy load. The Smart Trailer Integration Indicator is another helpful addition that lets you know if there’s something wrong with your trailer’s wiring. All in all, the Tahoe comes well-equipped to handle even the heaviest of loads.
Fuel Economy And Real-World MPG
While the Tahoe’s towing and payload capacities are nothing to scoff at, its fuel economy numbers are also quite good for an SUV of its size. The Tahoe’s smaller base-engine option, the 355-horsepower V-8, gets an EPA-estimated 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. Meanwhile, the more powerful 420-horsepower V-8 earns an EPA-estimated 14 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway. Finally, the 277-horsepower turbocharged diesel engine gets an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway.
As you can see, all of the Tahoe’s engine options offer good fuel economy for an SUV, especially the diesel engine, which is the most efficient of the three. So, you won’t have to constantly worry about making multiple pit stops to refuel or breaking the bank at the pump.
Of course, EPA estimates are just that — estimates. Your actual mileage may vary depending on several factors, including how you drive and maintain your vehicle, weather and road conditions, tire pressure, cargo weight, and more. But in real-world testing, you’ll find that the Tahoe’s fuel economy is quite good. In fact, there might be instances where Tahoe’s fuel economy exceeds EPA’s estimates. So, if you’re looking for an SUV that’s both capable and fuel-efficient, the Chevrolet Tahoe is a great option.
Pricing And Reliability
Pricing and reliability are areas that most shoppers are concerned about when considering a new vehicle purchase. After all, no one wants to buy an unreliable vehicle, and no one wants to overpay for a car, truck, or SUV that will end up giving them trouble down the road. When it comes to the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe, you can rest assured that you’re getting a reliable SUV that’s also quite affordable.
The base LS trim Tahoe starts at just $50,500 MSRP, and the range-topping High Country trim starts at $71,600 MSRP. As for reliability, the Tahoe has a history of being a reliable SUV, so you can rest assured that the Tahoe will be a dependable vehicle.
There you have it: everything you need to know about the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe’s towing capacity. Whether you’re looking for a vehicle that can handle your family’s weekend camping trips or one that can tow your boat to the lake like a pro, the Tahoe is more than up for the task.

2023 Chevrolet Camaro Features And Specs

The Chevrolet Camaro is one of the most storied and sought-after cars in the history of the automotive industry, and for good reasons. Its power, prestige, features, and options are legendary among all who feel the need for speed. Here, we will dive deeply into the details of the 2023 version of this beast of a coupe.
A Strong Range Of Trim Levels And Engine Options
Eight fantastic trim levels are available for the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro: the 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. Four extraordinary engines are available to power the 2023 Camaro. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder LTG version granting 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The first optional engine is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V-6 LGX version providing 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque.
The second optional engine is a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8 LT1 version generating 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. The final optional engine is a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 LT4 version pounding out an impressive 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Three transmissions can be paired with these potent engines: a six-speed manual, an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters, and a 10-speed automatic. Its drivetrain is rear-wheel regardless of trim level.
Mind-Blowing Sports Coupe Performance
The Chevrolet Camaro is well-known for leaving the competition in the dust, and the version available for the 2023 model year is no different. The 2.0-liter engine takes this Camaro from zero to 60 in 5.4 seconds. The V-6 does the same in 5.2 seconds. The naturally aspirated version of the V-8 does it in four seconds.
The ultimate engine option, the supercharged V-8, makes the sprint in a blinding 3.5 seconds. Further performance upgrades available through our service center at Vaden Chevrolet of Pooler, Georgia, can lower the time it takes even further, making this Camaro a blur on the track and the open road alike. The 2023 Camaro is rarely utilized for towing but can be fitted to tow up to 1,000 pounds.
A Sleek And Stylish Exterior
Aerodynamics is the name of the game when coupe performance is concerned, and the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro is formed to fit that mold. It has a smoothly streamlined body style with a short-stacked cabin, moderately deep body lines, combined headlight and daytime running light units, and a black grated grille.
It comes standard with 18-inch 5-split spoked silver-painted aluminum wheels, Blackwall all-season tires, power-adjustable body-colored side mirrors, and variable-speed intermittent windshield wipers with a washing unit. Its exterior options include dark tinted tail lamps, heated auto-dimming versions of the side-view mirrors, run-flat versions of the Blackwall tires, front and rear bowties, a stanchion spoiler, and an upgrade to 20-inch bright five-spoke silver-painted aluminum wheels.
An Interior Fit For A Champion
This powerful two-door coupe seats up to four comfortably. Its standard interior features include keyless open and start, 10 years of Chevrolet Connected Access, cloth front sport bucket seats, a rear window defogger, a manual rake, and a telescoping steering column. They also include a driver’s dead pedal, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped shifting knob, power programmable door locks, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, and a frameless day-night rearview mirror. The interior also features front reading lamps, express up and down power windows, a color driver information center, single-zone climate control, and cruise control with steering wheel-mounted controls.
The optional interior features make this Camaro look even sportier. They include illuminated sill plates, leather-trimmed sport bucket seats, aluminum interior accents, an eight-inch multi-color reconfigurable infotainment center, and an interior spectrum lighting system with 24 color options. The head-up display with color readouts projects information on the 2023 Camaro’s speed, headlight status, audio system settings, driving direction, exterior air temperature, GPS turn-by-turn directions, phone info, gear settings, and even G-Force measurements.
The entertainment features of the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro enhance its fast-paced and intense driving experience. It is one thing to have a powerful coupe, but another thing entirely to also have an amazing sound system pounding out your favorite tunes as you bolt down the track.
The standard entertainment system features six speakers, an integral rear window antenna for increased signal quality, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto smart device app mirroring and programming, and SiriusXM satellite radio. It also comes standard with a Wi-Fi hotspot. Entertainment options include SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with an 8-inch high-definition touch screen, and a nine-speaker Bose premium upgrade for the sound system.
Vitally Important Safety Features
The more powerful a vehicle is, the more substantial its safety systems should be. To this end, Chevrolet engineers have loaded this Camaro with an impressive range of safety-improving equipment. Standard safety features on the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro include tire fill alert with a tire pressure monitoring system, a high-definition rear-vision camera, a StabiliTrak stability control system with brake assistance and traction control, three years of Remote Access emergency summoning programming, an electric parking brake, and a teen driver restriction and report card system.
Optional safety features include rear parking assist, forward collision alert, and rear cross-traffic alert. The cluster of airbags in the 2023 Camaro includes dual-stage frontal, head curtain side-impact, and thorax and knee side-impact units and a passenger sensing system.
Get The Gas-Powered Camaro While You Can
As impactful as the Camaro has been on automotive history, competitive and otherwise, its time on the open road and the track will soon come to an end. It has had a spectacular 59 years of honored service on America’s roadways, but the 2023 or 2024 version will likely be the last as the industry shifts gears toward electric alternatives. Get a new model Camaro while you still have the chance. You won’t regret it.
Vaden Chevrolet is proud to offer the public the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro and all of its performance parts. Our service center will gladly install any upgrades you desire. Please contact us if you would like more information on this grand coupe.

If you’d like to feel a bit more power when you hit the accelerator, you may want to upgrade to the larger 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit, which churns out 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The smaller engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission, while the larger one comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
With the base engine, the Malibu achieves 29 mpg on city roads and 36 mpg on the highway. The larger engine is good for 22 mpg in the city and 33 mpg for highway driving.
Chevy Malibu Interior
In the cabin, the Malibu offers spacious accommodations in both rows for up to five people. There’s plenty of headroom and legroom in the rear row for adult passengers, which isn’t always the case in the midsized sedan class. Base Malibus are fitted with cloth upholstery, but you can upgrade to leather seats with ventilation and heating if desired. If you need to install child seating, you’ll find two sets of LATCH connectors on the outermost rear seats and a tether anchor in the middle.
The Malibu’s trunk measures 15.7 cubic feet. That’s about enough for a large load of groceries or a couple of suitcases for a weekend trip. If you need to carry larger items, you can fold down the rear row to open up more space.
Malibu Infotainment Tech And Safety Features
Chevy’s entertainment system is called Infotainment 3. In the Malibu, it’s accessible through an 8-inch screen. Other standard features include a six-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and Bluetooth connectivity. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which allow you to link your phone to the Malibu’s infotainment system, are offered with a wireless connection. Optional upgrades offered in the higher trims include a premium stereo, a navigation system, wireless device charging, and an 8-inch digital gauge cluster.
Two important standard safety features in the Malibu are Buckle to Drive and Teen Driver. The first system prevents the Malibu from accelerating out of a parking spot for 20 seconds if the driver’s seatbelt isn’t buckled. Teen Driver allows you to place certain restrictions on how your Malibu is used so that someone learning to drive can do so safely. For instance, you can impose a speed limit or a volume limit for the stereo.
If you regularly drive on the highway, you may want to upgrade to get lane keep assist with lane departure warning. Other available safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane change alert with side blind zone alert.
Chevy Malibu Trims
Four trims are available with the 2022 Malibu: LS, RS, LT, and Premier. The starting MSRP for the LS is $23,400, while the range-topping Premier starts at $33,500. These prices may vary depending on any optional upgrade packages you choose.
The LS trim is a great option for a first-time car buyer or anyone looking to stick to a modest budget. In addition to a broad range of standard infotainment technology, the Malibu LS features proximity keyless entry and rides on alloy wheels. You also get the option to upgrade to remote start, which can come in handy if you want to give your vehicle time to reach a comfortable temperature before you hit the road.
The RS trim adds some upscale touches to the cabin. These include a power-adjustable seat for the driver and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. A few exterior styling upgrades are also offered, such as a rear spoiler. The RS trim has a starting MSRP of $24,400.
The Malibu’s cabin begins to take on a more luxurious feel in the LT trim. You gain access to heated front seats, automatic climate control, and remote start as standard equipment. Another optional upgrade is a package including leather seats and a heated steering wheel. Styling improvements are also available, such as a sunroof and exterior design features. This trim has a starting MSRP of $26,800.
The top-of-the-range Premier trim is the only one available with the more powerful engine. It also adds the premium stereo and a navigation system. Additional standard features include leather seats, heated rear seats, power adjustments for the front passenger’s seat, and a sunroof. You can opt for some upgrades with this trim, such as adaptive cruise control and parking assist features.
